Molly was raised and born in Pennsylvania. She began her professional career at the age of thirteen in Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Following that, Molly portrayed Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and was nominated for a Barrymore Award. It was recast by Molly when she performed her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway in 2002. She received a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly was also in the cast of the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof, in 2004. After that, she went to Princeton University and was a part of the Triangle Club.
